The 2013 Accord Coupe is a 5-passenger, 2-door model available in LX-S, EX, EX-L and EX-L V6 trim levels. It is completely redesigned for the 2013 model year.

Exterior Features
Compared to the redesigned 2013 Honda Accord Sedan, the new Accord Coupe is 2.1 inches shorter in length and 2 inches shorter in wheelbase. The trunk is smaller, too, at 13.4 cubic feet (13.7 cubic feet for the base LX-S trim).

All 2013 Accord Coupes come standard with 17- or 18-inch aluminum wheels. The Accord EX-L has LED taillights, and the Accord EX-L V6 has LED running lights. To improve fuel economy, the Accord Coupe is equipped with underbody panels designed to reduce aerodynamic drag, Honda says.

Interior Features
Honda says the new 2013 Accord's redesigned interior features "simplified" controls and new seats. The LX-S and EX trims include standard cloth fabric in black, gray or ivory colors, and while the Accord Coupe offers seating for 5 passengers, rear-seat dimensions are smaller than the Accord Sedan in nearly every measure.

The Accord LX-S Coupe is equipped with standard dual-zone automatic climate control, reversing camera, expanded-view driver side mirror, and a color 8-inch multi-information display screen. To improve interior quietness, Honda installs standard Active Noise Control and Active Sound Control on every Accord Coupe.
Optional Features
A buyer seeking a greater level of equipment than is offered on the base Accord LX-S Coupe must upgrade to EX, EX-L or EX-L V6 trim. The EX trim offers a power sunroof, Smart Entry keyless entry and push-button ignition, LaneWatch blind-spot monitoring system, premium sound system, and power front seats.
The Accord EX-L Coupe includes leather upholstery and heated front seats, as well as safety and connectivity technologies. The EX-L V6 trim adds larger wheels and tires, Homelink universal remote control, and memory for the driver's seat settings. A navigation system is optional on EX-L models.
Under the Hood
A new 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine with direct fuel injection is standard on the new Accord Coupe, generating 185 horsepower at 6,400 rpm and 181 lb.-ft. of torque at 3,900 rpm. It is paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox. A continuously variable transmission (CVT) is optional, and according to Honda it offers "G-Design Shift Logic" for a "connected feel" and "more immediate acceleration response."
The Accord EX-L V6 has a 3.5-liter V-6 engine generating 278 horsepower at 6,200 rpm and 252 lb.-ft. of torque at 4,900 rpm. When equipped with the optional 6-speed automatic transmission, the V-6 includes Honda's proprietary Variable Cylinder Management (VCM) technology, which, to conserve fuel, shuts down up to half of the six cylinders when the Accord Coupe is cruising under low engine-load conditions or when the car is coasting.
If the driver presses the Accord Coupe's Econ button, the standard EcoAssist technology adjusts engine and transmission mapping to save additional fuel.
Safety
The 2013 Honda Accord Coupe is equipped with 4-wheel-disc anti-lock brakes with electronic brake-force distribution and brake assist, traction and stability control, and a hill-start-assist system. Six air bags are included, and the side air bags for front-seat occupants feature a new SmartVent design that eliminates excessive air bag deployment force, according to Honda.
Additionally, the Accord Coupe is equipped with a standard reversing camera and an expanded-view driver-side mirror. Optional safety features, depending on the trim level selected, include a LaneWatch blind-spot monitoring system, forward-collision warning system, and a lane-departure warning system.
Technology
Bluetooth hands-free calling and music streaming, Pandora Internet radio compatibility, SMS text messaging capability, and an USB/iPod connection are standard on every 2013 Honda Accord Coupe. Additionally, a new touch-screen radio and navigation system is optional on the Accord EX-L, as well as a new cloud-based HondaLink connectivity system featuring Aha Radio, access to Internet applications, and roadside assistance service.
